mjh Posted September 26, 2015 Share #1201 Posted September 26, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Quite obviously this is Dr. Kaufmann’s bespoke V-Lux with the red dot moved to the other side of the lens. ;-)
Advertisement Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Hi mjh, Take a look here NEW M.. This year.. This Fall.... I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
j0e_5 Posted September 26, 2015 Share #1202 Posted September 26, 2015 +1 on, at first, thinking this was a V-Lux. However, if we take a closer look at the text on the two lenses: on the V-Lux there is Leica written at the top, and then the technical stuff at the bottom. On the blurry photo, it doesn't look like the lens have this text setup. Looks more like a e.g. Summarit-S
edwardkaraa Posted September 27, 2015 Share #1203 Posted September 27, 2015 This is actually the new revolutionary V-lux that will be announced on October 20. The major change is moving the red dot to the other side of the lens, but there are a few cosmetic changes, like making the lens removable, the sensor a bit larger (24x36) etc.
edwardkaraa Posted September 27, 2015 Share #1204 Posted September 27, 2015 By the way if it turns out to be the real deal, I take the credit of being the first in the world to have spotted it

lct Posted September 27, 2015 Share #1206 Posted September 27, 2015 http://lavidaleica.com/content/leica-sl-type-601-coming-october Thanks for sharing. Curious that lavidaleica chooses the X2 to illustrate the "SL". Welcome, dear visitor! mjh Posted September 27, 2015 Share #1207 Posted September 27, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) http://lavidaleica.com/content/leica-sl-type-601-coming-october The shields protecting Wetzlar hold up remarkably well; there have been no real leaks so far. The only substantial pieces of information are those provided by Leica: that an ‘SL (Typ 601)’ and an ‘X-U (Typ 113)’ are imminent and that there will be a major announcement on 20 October. As to the rumours the rate of fact to bs is not significantly higher than what educated guesses could achieve.

AndreasAM Posted September 27, 2015 Share #1211 Posted September 27, 2015 Yes, this is what I read : Leica Vario-Elmarit-R 28-90 mm. F/2.8-4.5 ASPH. E67 Well deconvoluted, just what Michael (MJH) asked for in the German thread! So no V-lux and it still looks like the CEO himself is actually marketing the hype
lct Posted September 27, 2015 Share #1212 Posted September 27, 2015 Yes, this is what I read : Leica Vario-Elmarit-R 28-90 mm. F/2.8-4.5 ASPH. E67 [...] Did you read "mm" really? And are you sure focal lengths are engraved before apertures? I would have expected Vario-Elmarit-R 1:2.8-4.5 / 28-90 ASPH instead. Or it is another lens. Welcome, dear visitor! geotrupede Posted September 27, 2015 Share #1213 Posted September 27, 2015 Hi, if you check image and compare engravings it is quite possibly it is the Elmarit Vario, see my previous post. I initially read 24-90, but checking the second image I started to think it could be an old film R and a legacy lens/ The engravings spacing and positions also match. sorry to have ruined the party :-(

I deciphered the information on the picture, checked the lens in Wiki. Put it in the wrong order. Still think it is the lens though!
freitz Posted September 27, 2015 Share #1215 Posted September 27, 2015 Could just be an R3 with that lens on it. That camera very much resembles it.
