M240 files - lens profiles not recognised in LR. Help!

So recently, when I open my M240 files in LR (either CC on my main computer or LR4 on my laptop) the lens profiles are no longer recognised/unable to be selected. In fact I don't even get a choice to select Leica.  I think this may have happened recently when I upgraded the firmware to 2.0.2.5 which I have reloaded again onto the camera, but I'm not sure.  This is irrespective of SD card used, reformatted in SDFormatter and then in-camera.

Lens profiles from my Monochrom are recognised on both versions of LR.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I just did a quick, emphasis on quick, search of the Adobe Lightroom community and saw nothing that looked like an answer.  That might be a good place to ask though.  FWIW, with LR 6.1 and M240 with 2.0.2.5 the Leica profiles are showing up fine.   Once I enable profile corrections.

No problem here either, M-P 240 with 2.0.2.5, LR CC 2015.1 Release, Camera Raw 9.1, Mac OS X 10.9 and 10.10 both work, and on two different laptops.

You're a genius - nice to know there is at least one on there central coast.

What f@#%&ng idiot company has a camera such as this revert to JPEGs?

Lucky I hadn't shot anything important since the firmware update last week!

Thanks Gordon.

The best I can come up with is:

DNG default - beginners would be disappointed

JPEG default - experts would be able to sort themselves out

DNG + JPEG default - storage miserliness would be the only reason to have the other two options but options are good

With those three choices and the assumption that factory reset would be a voluntary action, then JPEG would be OK. The proximity of the factory reset option to the often used format option in the menu and the bug of firmware updates not preserving user settings makes this an issue.

If it was my firmware I would make DNG+JPEG the only choice.

Unfortunately, the installation of the new software into the camera seems to include a factory reset but does not inform the user in so many words. Hence, it not that "voluntary".

Well I'll know for next time.

DNG+JPEG would be a reasonable default.

Probably too much to expect the FW update to request preference on installation.  No other reset defaults would really matter.

...... yes the first thing I do before any upgrade is save all my profiles to the SD card.....

.... and the first thing after an upgrade is to reload them again and choose one......

I suspect there cannot be many who have not been caught out by this at some stage .....

That's the exact sequence that I did before I updated the FW.

It is definitely silly that in our current technological state Leica still prefer wiping out all the user profiles in a FW upgrade.

It would be better to default to DNG + JPG Fine. I hate how that happens. Nikon firmware updates don't get rid of all your preferences. Even if the camera has to be reset for some technical reason during the update, how hard could it be to have the update save your personal settings to the SD card and restore them automatically?

Not a good idea. If the card is full either the update fails or the profile is not restored - this random loss of profile is worse than always losing profile after update. Profiles should be saved in RAM during an upgrade.
