You haven't met my mother-in-law. She's convinced pyramids were built with the stones being teleported to the top. I need a lot of booze to get me through the holidays.

Ask Ben Carson, perhaps it was Joseph who teleported the stones.

Better yet, ask B Hussein Obama who decided that "the rise of the oceans would begin to slow". Because he said so.

Maybe he could decree her banished. He likes doing decrees.

After years of M shooting I've ended up with every length from 21 to 135 + a Viso III setup.  All are Leitz except Zeiss (21) and Voightlander (75) - which are perfectly fine for what they do.

M3 habits apparently never die, 90% of the time I shoot with Summi 50 Ver IV.

This year I've promised myself to sell off a bunch of old stuff I never use - set them free!  (A bursting bin of stuff...)

For reason of curiosity I'd wish to have a 90mm Noctilux, even if it won't make any sense to use it:

Peerhaps on a modern EVIL camera it would work....

For reason of compactness I'd like to have a 2,8/40 Elmarit M:

I would love to have a small "reasonably" priced and optically good performing Leica 35/2 lens. But there is a challenge - it also needs to work on my digital Sony A7R camera. I looked deeply into available 35/2 lens options out there and so far I had to compromise somewhere. The 35/2 ASPH version 5 works well on Leica M series cameras but not at all on my A7R. The version 4 (non ASPH) would be nearly perfect for my preferences, but I find its price still much to steep. Older Leica lens versions are better in price but then come with optical drawbacks compared to newer versions. In the end I compromised in the lens size and went with the Voigtlander 35/1.2 II M lens which works great for me so far both on my A7R and on my M6 cameras. Still I am lurking for a smaller sized and a bit slower (f/2 is sufficient) 35 mm M lens......I am all ear if somebody has another idea which I might have overlooked!

Just 10 days after I wrote this, I was very lucky and found a great deal on a nearly mint black 35/2 Summicron-M 7-element lens, version IV, made in 1991. Tested it instantly on my Sony A7R with excellent results, very good center sharpness even at f/2. Next I will use it on my Leica M6. I will keep my CV 35/1.2 II for low light and portrait purposes, but the Leica 35/2 will be my walk-around and travel lens for sure.
