Yes, the 24mm/3.8 is wonderful, and makes me jones slightly for the 21mm/3.4 Super Elmar. But I have the 21mm/2.8 Biogon ZM, so that's good enough, as I rarely go that wide. The Apo Telyt 135mm/3.4 might be nice.

28/2 chrom

35/1.4 steel rim with OLLUX

35/1.4FLE chrom

35/2.8 Summaron black paint

50/1.4 E43 v1 black paint

50/2 rigid black paint

90/1 prototyp

So just the common, easy to find, really cheap lenses that were made in huge quantities?

Cheers,

Michael

I am really happy with the Summarit. It's the 1:2.5 version with 6-bit coding. Shot taken with it visible here:

135mm Summicron please Leica

For the approximate price of S/H APO Telyt 135mm you may as well buy new APO Sonnar 2/135mm in Nikon F mount and use it via Nikon to M/R/T adapter on M or SL camera - strictly EVF.  Potential Summicron 135mm due to size and RF blockage will not be RF coupled.

I need a 90mm, though I am not a fan of this focal length sometimes longer than 50mm is required.

What is the better performer, the Elmarit or the Summarit?

I think you would be happy with either lens.  I have the Elmarit, which is a lovely lens.

I wouldn't mind the 50 nocti, 28 'cron in the silver Hermes limited edition. Other desirables include the 'regular' silver editions of those lenses and a nice 75 APO. More realistically I'd love a WATE sometime in the next year or so.

Go for the WATE.  :)
