How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “c

I have been using the 114 for the last7-8 years exclusively and waiting for Leica to come up with a new one with less color noise in higher ISO. With the 114, I printed a book: Action Along the Hudson River with my. The V Lux 5 has improvements for video which is not my favorite.

Yikes! My pics loaded upside down ! Can that be altered in this web site? Other submissions l made its always right side up.

 

I captured them, inverted them, and replaced them.  Stuart Nordheimer

I've had the Panasonic forerunner to the Vlux, borrowed the Vlux2 from Leica when they couldn't get my R8 and 80-200 lens back in time for Antarctica, had the Vlux4 and Vlux114, and each one has been better than the prior ones.  I bought the Vlux5 in August and find it significantly better than the 114.  You might want to get one before they are all gone -- Leica will not be doing a Panaleica Vlux6.  If you've seen some of my Mongolia photos you will get an idea of how much better the Vlux5 is.
