Continue to be amazed by quality of shots from C .  Can not understand why it is so under appreciated.  Need to use mine more often.

Dan

Indeed - could not agree more!  And yes, I need to take mine out and about more often too.

PS - on the 16th it will be the fifth anniversary of this thread (which I started after being mightily impressed by the C's performance and results).  Happy Birthday to the thread! ;)

I have only a C these days after selling my V-Lux. I shot common images on both then compared results and the little C won every time..far and away. The big advantage too is that being small it is with me more so gives greater spontaneity.

That is a surprise - the V-Lux sensor must be circa twice the size of the C'S.

Purely a record shot from a visit to Fleet Air Arm museum last week.  This is Hall4, and an icon of passenger air transport.

Another record shot (for a fellow Morgan owner in Oz who also owns one of these).  Haynes Motor Museum (Sparkford, Somerset) where presently there is an additional display celebrating Morgan.  (While there we also had a tour of the workshop areas - fascinating, but very difficult to get any photographs).

Keith,

Before I parted with my V-Lux I explored whether I could get some sort of software upgrade to bring the V-lux performance up to the C-Lux quality but Leica could do nothing just saying the increased technology of the C-Lux was the reason for better shots.  Sad, because the V-Lux was so flexible - albeit heavy.

Nowadays I get confused between the C-Lux and the CL. I have compared specifications and they are quite different not just apart from the fixed or detachable lenses, so it is difficult to compare images on this thread. I must say the longevity and activity of this thread proves what a valuable initiative it was to start it off.

Graham … More than 'purely a record …'  it's suitable for C3 :)

Do you really think so?

I find it too busy.  I'd better buy some more ink (or a new printer) and have a closer look at the image... :)

Thanks for the pointer.
