Leica C Images - Post Them Here

Recommended Posts

Getting images like this, Keith, is all about constant awareness of the World about you and having your camera at the ready constantly because formations like this don't usually last more than a very few minutes for catching them. Lovely image.

Street colour on Capitol Hill.  This tree stands at the corner of our street.  My wife spotted it and asked me to stop the car as we were driving away.  She took these from her seat in the car through the open window.

I learn so much from seeing scenes like this which it would just not occur to me to shoot.  I obviously miss so many opportunities. Maybe I need a New Year resolution to "look and shoot more often". Thanks for the encouragement.

I should have said also that 18 months ago I decided to try returning to 35mm and bought a Leica R6.2.  Quite a change of discipline but my plans did not work out for several reasons so R6.2 is now sold again.  I have had great troubles printing my images and have had to take guidance from Epson because image results were not good. I knew it was not the camera because I have super images from that, so was it the film, the processing, the scanning, my system, or my printer??? I had good results already from the same batch of film and I used Meinfilmlab which does super work processing/scanning. To cut the story short, I had changed from PC to iMAC in recent months and something somewhere was incompatible. Epson suggested I try their "Easy photo print" which solved everything with excellent output.

The moral of this rambling is that my sole camera is now my trusty little Leica C so I need to get to grips and use that to its full potential.

Sad to hear you had to sell your Leica R6.2 but now get the little Leica C to work, it's a great small camera and despite the small sensor the output is outstanding. I did not use it much the last year(s) but the most recent pictures I've shot RAW, finally after all these years.

Best
