Mine (or to be accurate, my wife's) C is also at v1.0.  Obviously discontinuation does not diminish its capabilities one jot (or pixel!) and when I think I need a pocket camera with more than my iPhone6S offers, the C is hijacked  :)

Has the Panasonic original been replaced with a new version, does anyone know?

Keith,

The Pana equivalent is the Lumix DMC-LF1 but I haven't found any chatter about an LF2 so far.

and it's baaaaack....

the "C" is now listed for sale and it is getting a price increase effective 1May....

this 4 year old camera is amazing

in my wanderlust i did a little googling...

the C has a 1/1.7 sized sensor

the legendary D2 (Digilux2) had a 2/3 sized sensor  which was approximately1/3 larger than the 'C' in sensor size (different technologies ccd vs cmos) but still........there is something special about this camera
