Doc Henry Posted June 25, 2017 Author Share #628 Posted June 25, 2017 Paul , congrats for your upgrade à la carte. Really nice the black paint and the MP arming lever ! About battery , my M7 still have the same battery untill one year and I already use for some dozen rolls of film ! So it's not normal . I believe your battery is a "unique" CR1/3N Henry
MaDeVa Posted June 26, 2017 Share #629 Posted June 26, 2017 Paul, congrats from the upgrade. I asked a quotation to do the same on my M7 last time when it went in Wetzlar for maintenance, but the cost was more or less the same necessary for a new MP (after trade in of my M7). So I decided to take my M7 as it is. It looks used but is functional, and this is enough for me. Inviato dal mio iPad utilizzando Tapatalk

MaDeVa Posted June 26, 2017 Share #631 Posted June 26, 2017 Ciao Henry, I miss my M7 for the last 8 weeks as it went for a check up in Wetzlar. I got it back last Saturday, so I will restart shooting film and post some photo soon. Color or BW? Who knows, lets see [emoji6]! Robinyuill Posted June 29, 2017 Share #636 Posted June 29, 2017 Hi there. I've had my M7 for a while and it's been to Leica and had the DX readers replaced with the optical sensors. The trouble is that it's still a bit erratic. Not a lot but just enough to make me doubt and have to check the asa indicator in the viewfinder before every use. Do most users just ignore the dx and just set the film speed on the back? Other than that I love the camera. Any information gratefully received. Robin. erl Posted June 29, 2017 Share #638 Posted June 29, 2017 I've had mine maybe 10 years. Got it second hand. Still got the old readers. Like Soden, no problems. Great camera. I mainly (these days) wind bulk film (B&W) into reusable plastic cassettes, so I have to set the ISO reader manually. These days my colour neg is in commercial cassettes and the old DX reader works fine.
android_pt Posted June 29, 2017 Share #639 Posted June 29, 2017 I received my M7 a week ago (picture to come anytime soon) and it has the old DX reader. As I usually push the film I don't intend on using it. I'm already used to setting the iso manually (M6 habbit).
