pauledell Posted April 28, 2014 Share #2 Posted April 28, 2014 Dee, A fine picture of the autumn flowers while we are beginning to enjoy the spring's explosion of colors. Paul
fotografr Posted April 28, 2014 Share #3 Posted April 28, 2014 I love this one, Dee. Photography is all about the magic of light and this image demonstrates that fact very clearly. I also like that it doesn't look set up. My impression is that you were walking past this scene, were struck by what you saw and went for your camera. Or is that just all in my mind? Iduna Posted April 28, 2014 Share #4 Posted April 28, 2014 I love this one, Dee. Photography is all about the magic of light and this image demonstrates that fact very clearly. Dee, Brent already mentioned all I wanted to say. This is a fine example of "The Essential - Leica motto".

platypus Posted April 29, 2014 Author Share #9 Posted April 29, 2014 Thanks to everyone who liked this shot and said so! Brent....not just in your mind!...it was spontaneous not set up. Herewith another shot (taken today, the light is more diffused) depicting the posy in situ, and some of my overgrown succulents. Bill, I do seem to have some very handy spare dog bowls! In this shot you may see another holding some interesting little rocks. Welcome, dear visitor! fotografr Posted April 29, 2014 Share #11 Posted April 29, 2014 Your artistry shows not only in your photography but in the arrangements in your home. Beautiful. Your plants look very healthy and happy. The Jade Tree must be as old as I am.
platypus Posted April 30, 2014 Author Share #12 Posted April 30, 2014 Your plants look very healthy and happy. The Jade Tree must be as old as I am. Not unless you are still a teenager! The poor old plants are stuck inside their entire lives, there are two possums residing in the cottage roof (long term tenants) and possums just can't resist a snack of succulents, despite the fact that they are provided with proper possum food by me. Fortunately the plants do surprisingly well by that window.

fotografr Posted April 30, 2014 Share #14 Posted April 30, 2014 Not unless you are still a teenager! The poor old plants are stuck inside their entire lives, there are two possums residing in the cottage roof (long term tenants) and possums just can't resist a snack of succulents, despite the fact that they are provided with proper possum food by me. Fortunately the plants do surprisingly well by that window. I am a teenager (at heart). My wife, an avid gardener, had a look at your photos and was very impressed with how beautiful your plants and the arrangement on the table are. We also have a resident possum--actually, it lives under our neighbor's garage. So far, it has only seen fit to dine on seeds dropped from the bird feeder.
