pauledell Posted January 23, 2014 Share #2 Posted January 23, 2014 Adam, Some great shots taken of those who like adverse weather (including the photographer). I like the streaking white of the snow as it comes down. Paul
allamande Posted January 23, 2014 Share #3 Posted January 23, 2014 The set certainly gives a strong sense for facing these dire conditions and how life must go on, does go on. What film did you use? I like the high acuity as well as the tonal range. Thank you for these. Stay warm! Ece

John Basso Posted January 23, 2014 Share #12 Posted January 23, 2014 Hello Adam. A wonderful reportage from People battling against icy winds during a New York snow storm. This North American weather seems to crush the Global Warming theory and put that to Permafrost for ever! Right now it is minus 18 celsius here in Toronto .The windchill tops it up a bit to - 25 C. Greetings: John basso.

A miller Posted January 24, 2014 Author Share #18 Posted January 24, 2014 Thanks again, all! For fun, I submitted a couple of these to the local news stations in NYC yesterday and low and behold the first in this thread made its way to the local NBC news this morning. A proud moment for my kids!
alun Posted January 24, 2014 Share #19 Posted January 24, 2014 The first is a terrific street photograph, the blizzard something of an added extra - it has a strange other-worldly feel to it. Very good indeed.
A miller Posted January 24, 2014 Author Share #20 Posted January 24, 2014 The first is a terrific street photograph, the blizzard something of an added extra - it has a strange other-worldly feel to it. Very good indeed. Thanks very much, Alun. I caught up with the man holding the "Slow" sign (in the first picture) this morning on my way to work. He was still holding that heavy and cold God foresaken sign in that same intersection. I showed him the picture on my ipad and told him that he had made the morning news. I think I made his week and even possibly warmed him up a little. I emailed the picture to him on the spot and even offered to make a print for him and his family.
