Given the fact that most of the Leica users are in the range 40+ years, wouldn't such thing as [..,] be welcome to the new Leica M?

Would it be even possible to fit 5 axis stabilization in current body without enlarging it?

No. Hell no.

And what does age have to do with it?

Nevermind. I apologize if I offended anyone with the statement about the shaky hands. I was convinced that's one of the things that happen when you get older. I guess I still have many years to wait and see it myself.

No offense taken here. Everybody is different when it comes to affirmities.

1. Shorter start-up time. The M is a great street / people photo camera. Shorter start-up time would enable the photographer to capture more moments.

2. Dedicated exposure compensation button with warning in finder. Yes, you can use manual, but this is for those using "A". Yes you can take off your gloves and try to find the hidden tiny-tiny button while using your other hand to turn a wheel. Yes you can use your total-recall memory to remember your setting to avoid faulty exposure to changing conditions. BUT; it would be better to get some help from camera on this.

3. Dedicated ISO wheel allowing to see the ISO setting from wheel. Yes you can take off your gloves and try to find the hidden tiny-tiny button while using your other hand to turn a wheel. Yes you can use your total-recall memory to remember your setting to avoid faulty exposure to changing conditions. BUT; it would be better to get some help from camera on this.

I would like a higher res EVF, upgradable.

Ability to move live view/evf focus point.

Image stabilization (if it did not affect camera size).

24mp is fine but we will probably see 36. IMHO complaints about having to use a tripod are unfounded based on Nikon D800E.

Dedicated ISO control -- or easier ISO change than the present.

Ability to change default from jpg (Leica should do this right now via firmware)

M-P type styling from beginning.

Nobody has said anything at all about video. I'd drop it in favor of image stabilization. I don't think too many people use Leica M as their primary video camera. There are others that are cheaper and better and I don't think Leica should spend their energy on video "improvements" when most people don't use and/or shut it off (thank you for allowing that).

I want a menu selection that says "Anti Sniveling and whining".

You could select it and everyone you contact locally or on the Internet has to stop whining about things like:

Why do I have to pay for a repair on an out of warranty issue?

It's too heavy.

It's too big.

I don't like the red dot.

The strap in no good.

It has video.

It doesn't have image stabilization.

The bottom plate is senseless.

I don't want a screen.

The screen is bad.

Leica naming designations are bad.

I can't shoot a bazillion images all at one press of the shutter.

Leica quality control is at fault for everything.

Don't get angry. ;-)

I guess hands become shaky with age.

Oh, I understand. :o Sometimes they get shaky with age.

Essential Tremor, if one has it, does return with age (usually over 40) however there is an off-label wonder-medicine combination that sometimes takes it away.

I don't know enough about image stabilizing to know if it could be incorporated into a traditional sized M.

Thank you for answering my post.
