Stealth3kpl Posted July 16, 2013 Share #4 Â Posted July 16, 2013 Yes you will regret it. Keep it and get the 28mm lensey too. Pete
Jeff S Posted July 16, 2013 Share #5 Â Posted July 16, 2013 I appreciate the different fields of view (same perspective unless YOU move) of 28mm versus 35mm lenses (sometimes the 'e' belongs), so I would want both. But your needs and style may differ. Â Jeff

lct Posted July 16, 2013 Share #7 Â Posted July 16, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Both lenses suffer from focus shift and the 35/1.4 SC is one the most flare-prone lens i have used so far. Honest no?

MarkP Posted July 16, 2013 Share #9 Â Posted July 16, 2013 thanks so much guys good to know!!!best combination would be 28mm and 50mm lense!!! Â thanks again!!! Â My favourite two lens combination. Very versatile. Â However, if you like the 35mm field of view you may miss the lens once it's gone.
Guest malland Posted July 17, 2013 Share #10  Posted July 17, 2013 But only if it is minty...I knew that. You get those at the "Ye Olde Lense Shoppe." I think it's on Bond Street, or is it in Olde Bonde Streete?' —Mitch/Bangkok
MarkP Posted July 17, 2013 Share #11  Posted July 17, 2013 OK - enough with the crap jokes.  This was a serious and polite question from a relatively new member - you have done a great job making him (or her) feel welcome with the ongoing corny jokes because of one spelling mistake, but not addressing his question.  Surely we're better than this.  How would you have replied if the post was less casually worded without spelling errors as follows?  Hello there!  just want to ask advice from those of you who are more experienced. I'm considering selling my CV 1.5/35 SC Nokton and replacing it with a CV 28 Ultron to get a wider perspective.  Could I regret this decision?  I look forward to your opinion on this?  Thank you very much   Just another of the standard 'which lens next' questions which could be answered with some respect and technical advice on the pros and cons of the two lenses, but the usual: ' only you know what focal length suits your photography best'
lct Posted July 17, 2013 Share #12 Â Posted July 17, 2013 If y may elaborate, you should not regret selling the CV 35/1.4 SC if flare and focus shift are a concern for you. Especially if you shoot digital or plan to do so. I used mine at f/1.4 and f/2 only because the lens could not focus accurately at f/2.8 and on. But the CV 28/2 suffers from focus shift as well. Giving its wider DoF, this could bother you less though. The CV 28/1.9 has not this problem IINW but i have no experience with it. As for FoVs it is a matter of tastes as suggested above.
