Forums are magnets for people with equipment issues ... and the new ones that do are looking for info as they have a problem

Lots of people who've posted problems in threads on this subforum haven't posted in this 'poll' at all - probably because it was very clearly signposted as being a place to refute any criticism of the camera.

Anyone with a genuine issue will post their problem in another thread looking for help or resolution. I don't think most of them will consider posting here to be constructive or helpful in any way, especially considering the frame for discussion wasn't exactly welcoming negative responses:

just go back over to the threads where those that don't own the camera are masturbating all over themselves about what they think the camera is like...

Sorry, I didn't get back to you. I didn't see your post in all of the relies. Please, guys only actual owners.

I always send PM-s

This time I was called away before I could send a PM to the "collateral damage" Sorry, but a bit of leeway helps in this job. Whole chunks = three posts.

Statistically speaking that's 2.5% of the thread:D!

I am finally ready to vote with a crystal clear NO

The poor thing locked up this hot afternoon 10 times in 10 minutes.

I was using the camera in the sun (it was 90F/32C today) with the Oly VF-2. Have a black one and the camera was hot.

I am not in the mood of testing the issue further because out of frustration I would probably end up trying to "fix it" with a hammer.

My only explanation for this is: an immensely crappy firmware, especially regarding the EVF interface.

I really do not deserve this crap, and my money was perfectly working. Thanks for letting me vent.

NO.

Had the camera since April.

Lost a month of shooting as I sent it back to Solms to sort out the lug issue.

The camera lockup when using spot metering. Also, images imported into Lightroom showed the wrong aperture size, especially for continuous shots.

Hate the color especially when indoors under tungsten lighting.

Never had such issues with my other cameras.

First two issues unfortunate.

Last two issues require you to learn basics about the camera as well as processing techniques. Both issues discussed frequently. Perhaps start with this FAQ regarding apertures in LR.

erick-Does that mean you now have 2 bodies?

generally it works , but I have issues time to time with the EVF , it becomes very clear (milky) without contrast, and sometime I cannot shoot or even change the exposure time , I have to shut and re-open the body

but I have heard about a new firmware in July

Brand new M type 240 out of the box. Charging battery, switching Camera on... looking through the viewfinder ..... one of the LED bars of the leftmost digit does not light up

Electronics can go bad, but this happened between QC and delivery, or was not noticed during QC.

It's a minor issue, but for such an expensive camera it ruins the initial joy of ownership and makes you wonder what will come next.

Does that make the camera reliable because there is an FAQ answer? I have an M240 and have found the same problems. My lockups occurred within a day (and no EVF). Never had these problems with other cameras. So no, it's not reliable IMO. Great camera otherwise.
