Kl@usW. Posted December 6, 2019 Share #65401 Posted December 6, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I don't know how you feel about land art --the sculpture was named "middle of the world" by its creator. Now it has to compete with those impressive mountains, the huge skies and I'm not sure it always compares so favorably....Anyway, it´s a welcome opportunity for a snap. Welcome, dear visitor! Sparkassenkunde Posted December 6, 2019 Share #65403 Posted December 6, 2019 Adam's Grand Central picture inspired me to browse through my archives. Quality-wise it is like a scratchy radio transmission vs. a philharmonic concert, but it holds good memories: Welcome, dear visitor! The colors are just sublime and the placement of the reflections within the frame are awesome. Really enjoyable! Love it, Phil. But where's the London Bridge? 😀 Thanks Adam. The "London Bridge" of the title refers to a rock arch formation near where I live. It looks nothing like London Bridge in London, of course. Interestingly, there was a second stone formation in my State of Victoria which was also, confusingly, named "London Bridge". It, though, had two spans. Even so it looked nothing like London Bridge in London. Then, just a few years ago, one of the spans fell down (just like in the nursery song) and left a tourist stranded on the other span. That formation is now imaginatively called "London Arch". The tourist was safely rescued by helicopter. The rock formations in the picture make up part of one end of the local (to me) span. 1
