On the excellentDiptychs, Triptychs and Polytychs (Open Thread)

I mentioned I'd found an old camera and, on developing the roll of film within it, found there was a photograph of me on it from the 1970s and one from just a few years ago. Well, it turns out a couple of details were askew - the photo I thought my wife had taken of me a few years ago I'd actually taken of her. Still, I think it makes for quite an interesting diptych, which I'll post here as the images were not made on a Leica camera:

So i went back to a few locations where i used the portra 800, to test out the response of another film, this time Lomo 800..[so i can compare the films at the same locations]

quite nice and responsive to low light/available light

Photographs freeze time; there’s no present, only the past. This is true in both digital and film, but perhaps film does it better since it’s capable of simultaneously showing a previous period in time, and the passage of time with the weird degradation of the latent image.

Don’t you just love the low cloud strata in Phil’s pictures?
