While this is the I Like Film thread, and the thrust is predominantly on posting images, it seems to me the best place to ask my first world problem question.

Colour film, for an up-coming Europe trip, Portra 160 or Ektar 100?

Last year I took a screed of Portra 400, and some Ektar 100, in 35mm and used all. Plus some XP2 and Delta 100. I took two 35mm cameras, R6 for colour and Leicaflex for B&W and shared the lenses.

This year I am (at this stage anyway) looking to take only the Leicaflex, and the SWC, plus the digital.

I like to keep the film spead the same in both cameras, so a meter reading for one (hand-held or from the digital) is common, less chance of me duffing it.

So, having narrowed it to either Ektar 100 or Portra 160, any definite "gotta take this" from you experts? I'll of course stash a little B&W as well, some Delta 100 likely as the freezer is bursting and it needs to be used but predominantly it is colour shooting this time.

Likely, both are that similar that it doesn't matter, but my gut feeling is Portra 160 will be less demanding of me, the guesstimation for exposure, and possibly the light variation encountered.

Last years shots were fine, both P400 and E100, hard for me to tell anything apart.
