Hi, Henry. To slightly correct my earlier statement, I scan as TIFF, then copy to LR as DNG.

Thanks for this precision Eoin.

I also have LR to convert RAW in DNG but when I correct film in TIFF with LR (it's rare)

LR keeps my picture in TIFF not in DNG.

As I said you above TIFF is better and bigger because more informations but DNG is

also fine . The number of bits is also important .

Look at the difference in this link :

https://photo.stackexchange.com/questions/79368/how-and-why-does-vuescans-tiff-and-dng-output-differ

Philip , you're right TIFF comes from Aldus Corporation at the beginning created by

Microsoft and  supported now by Adobe

Best

Henry

Breath-taking view!  Love it!

Carpathian mountains in Romania. I was cycling and this was at one of the passes.

I love this, Edward.  Particularly the bottle caps used for checkers :)

Thanks, Philip.  Great job on the sunset series.  A really lesson in how to work a scene! :)

Haha very cool, and your commentary is priceless :)

Last two sunsets for now, again the 80 Planar and Ektar.

Very lovely; great memories, indeed.  Is this a scan of a negative or a scan of a photo?

That expression is priceless!

This winter fun (?) is at least eighty years old

There are no negatives anymore, as so often. So I digitalized about 400 paper photos with my Leica SL, Vario Elmar 24-90. The photos have been stored unsorted in a big box in the screed.

This intrigues me a lot, Eoin. What are we seeing? I googled Be Tanh but wasn't sure which hit is the right one. Is it a market?

Hi, Philip,

I hopped on a metropolitan bus in Ho Chi Minh City, and 1 hr later, arrived in Be Tanh. I had a cup of coffee, walked Aron’s taking a few shots, and caught another bus back (see below). All up, including the coffee, it cost me about $1.

I have no idea where Be Tanh is, but that was the name on the board on the bus...

I have a Zorki 4K from 1975, but the only thing that it has been good at so far was ripping a roll of HP5 ...

I should try again. The Jupiter 8 doesn't see a bad lens.

I have a Jupiter 8 that is amazing, it focuses correctly on my IIIa and is tack sharp. I use it when the f3.5 of my Elmar isn't enough.

Nice one, Mitch! It's nice to see fellow film aficionados from Shanghai, especially with that lovely smile :D
