philipus Posted September 22, 2020 Share #71469 Posted September 22, 2020 I like it a lot. It gives a very dramatic touch. Another emulsion to try! On 9/21/2020 at 3:27 PM, AntonioF said: I think so. It's contrasty and shadows get crushed very easily. In this case I exposed for the highlights, though, so I expected such a constrast. Thanks Klaus. I wasn't familiar with that company. On 9/21/2020 at 3:21 PM, Kl@usW. said: Thank you Philip, on my screen I don't see much of a tint--maybe a hue of green in shadows. Otherwise the colors are as I remember them, apart from the apples, they might be a touch more yellow. But hues of colors in shady parts are always tricky, maybe we should ask a physicist ( Or Rog ? ) to explain that. Something with the addition ( or was it subtraction ?) of the reflected and the shine -through light... Furthermore it might be that I used an ND filter.... which gives a slight greenish tint. I don't remember-I take the ND on and off with my NLX and the SLXes. I didn't scan that myself; I have the color negatives developed and scanned at https://www.meinfilmlab.de-- they are really good. This is positively psychedelic. It looks superimposed. Very cool effect. 19 hours ago, bags27 said: M4-P 50 Lux ASPH Portra 160. A torn child's climber Welcome, dear visitor! verwackelt Posted September 23, 2020 Share #71479 Posted September 23, 2020 And it is a good example, that scanning a good print from a b&w negativ is often better (in terms of gradation, greyscale and "Anmutung" sorry do not know the english term) than scanning the negativ and making a digital conversion. I find t looks more than a "classic" b&w than a scan from a negativ...
philipus Posted September 23, 2020 Share #71480 Posted September 23, 2020 Here are some people enjoying the Booster Maxx, which is the spinning thing that created the big disc I showed before. I had a hilarious time catching people spinning around in this and they all cheered when they saw me taking pictures This is on Fuji Superia 1600, seriously outdated and badly stored. I shot it at box speed which I normally wouldn't do with such an old film but it worked out. I shot the 50 Summilux wide open to have any chance at all at some sharpness. Seems it paid off.
