Rog, these Margin Tide components are exceptional. You've taken the lessons from Diebenkorn's Ocean Park series and explored greener fields (quite literally, in the case of this diptych). They also bring to mind Malevich's constructivist works. Above and beyond that they may bring things to mind, however, sits the truth that they are dazzling, playful, refreshing and wonderfully original. The combination of color and texture - the interaction of color and texture - is masterfully handled. These are, I feel, important works, works that have evolved to a high level and it occurs to me that you increasingly comprehend the significance and authenticity of them. These works should be printed (huge!) and displayed - they deserve a wider audience.

Exceptional Jean-Marc. Une photo quintessentiellement parisienne somehow.

I really like when cameras and lenses are pushed to the limit like this with great results. Is that the same F1 you've always used, Phil? I seem to remember that you posted photos from years back with the 17mm lens and an F1.

This is stunning. That blue gap is intriguing. As if we're peering through closed curtains at a brighter kinder world outside.

And I fully agree, your constructs definitely deserve a wider, global audience.

Very well executed Klaus. Blue, yellow and mosquitoes. It could be northern Sweden :)

And for I don't know how many times now luck would have it that two similar but different photos end up next to each other. What a contrast this apparently frozen scene is to Klaus's warm photo above. A beautiful photo, Gary.

Thank you so much, Philip. I had an F1 which was stolen back in the 1980s, however I think you might be remembering the wonderful photos Eoin has posted with his F1 and 17mm. He has a great story that goes along with that kit as well.

My apologies Stefan, I researched further and now I believe my photo was taken in Catania, not Palermo, as Mt Etna is clearly visible in the background. I agree with you that Palermo, and Sicily in general, is absolutely fascinating. And no doubt in better condition than it was back in 1980.

I already wondered that Etna was so close :)

But you can see him in winter very clearly on some days from Mondello (beach of Palermo)

Ah yes! Thank you, and apologies for the confusion. A cracking camera that I've always looked for reasons not to buy, so far successfully...

Wonder where Eoin is these days?

Love the colour and the light and the way your eye is drawn to the setting sun and settles happily there.

You really should give in to that temptation, Philip - they are wonderful cameras. Eoin has been posting on a few threads recently - it would be very good to see him back here though.

The lady was so intent on ignoring me, she almost disappeared into the trunk. I mean the tree trunk, not the other...
