:D I knew I would be among friends. I look forward to those shots, Adam. Will be very interesting.

I believe all 40mm, from the C through CF FLE to CFE FLE and CFE IF FLE have 0,5m. Due to focus shift the C lens isn't recommended to use at closer than 0,9m though.

Unfortunately (for me) the widest F/FE lens is 50mm, but those lenses focus to 0,32m (the C series 50mm lenses "only" focus to 0,5m).

But the 40mm lenses are heavy. The C weighs in at 1300g, the CF at 900g and the other two at 890g and 1100g.

I'd be weighing up the concept of adding the SWC instead of a wide. Yes, it's another camera, but if it is a similar price then the only hardship is the decision of which camera to take.

If you haven't decided by then, you can have a hands on trial of mine in August next year.

Gary

I agree with Eoin, very good shots Marc.

All you SWC fanatics probably already know about this thread, but just in case you don't:

RFF | Hasselblad SWC is cool

Thank you, Philip - Every time I manage to push my multi-decade desire for a SWC to some dim, dark recess of my troglodyte-friendly mind, someone has to go and throw another light switch on, and the moth-instincts start all over again...

When sporting an L lens one has to look the part.

90 Elmarit-M Vista 200 (EI100)

I dress this way, too, when carrying any of my L-series lenses. I find that the EF 300 f/2.8L MkII is particularly fetching against a black satin dress...

Nice shot, Philip. I like the contrast with the soft colours of the stonework.

Great colors, Gary.  What film?

The progress in this thread is awesome. Aside from a lot of useful information regarding films and equipment it is a pure joy to see the world through the eyes (and lenses) of so many people. I hope you don`t mind adding a different note by publicizing my rather run-off-the-mill shots, mostly done on expired film and, lately more often with non-Leica cams. Here comes another shot on Kodak 200:

Rollei Prego micron

Perfectly classic, James.   A keeper for sure.  So crisp.

Third for me !!!

Thanks, Jean Marc!!

These won't be helping poor Philip with his decision making. I have also behind the scenes given him something to consider, a used SWC on the market. I LOVE spending someone else's money.

Gary

That's the idea, Gary.  Trying to keep Philip on that chair until he is cured of his ailment :)

My favorite camera.  I literally wore mine out traveling.  I still have it, but it needs serious work.  Yours looks much better than mine, want to trade?

I've been traveling a bit, first to New Mexico to ride motorcycles, then St. Louis to visit a very seriously ill friend, and back to Florida.  I did get to shoot a roll of film though, I will post a few after I develop it.  Until then, one from a few years back.  501C, Tri-X rated at 200, Rodinal 50:1, Canon flatbed scan.
