32 years and the picture is still nice. Nice color !

Not sure you get this quality with digital with the constant change in computer system !

Great memories Gary

Show him this picture Gary and you'll see his reaction :)

Thanks

Best

Henry

While I agree with most of what you say Henry, definitely won't be showing him this, he's taller than me, bigger too. I'm not that stupid, :D

A really wonderful photograph Eoin.

Somewhere in Isaan, Thailand, 1986 (Ektachrome converted to B&W)...

To anyone who likes colours and shapes (and I belong to that group) stumbling upon a scene like this feels like Christmas. Great photos Arnaud.

Forgotten Kodachrome but never- matched color.

attachicon.gifsiège jaune.jpg Summicron 90mm, on M4 /or M5

attachicon.giftable rouge.jpg 35mm on Leica M4/or M5

never found red like this :( after Kodachrome

I just love his expression, Gary. And as a Lego fan I relate completely.

Our wee lad, deciding what to spend his pocket money on.

I'll add he's 32 now, married, and with a nipper of his own on the way, how time flies.

Philip well seen :)

Black dress in the middle of beige stone color.

I notice you often use a tele 90mm. The definition is remarkable.

SWC/M + Voigtlander Low Angle Finder

TMAX400  D76 1:1 @20C

Nikon LS-9000

I took these at a Veteran's Memorial near my house.  The backdrop was not great;  a lot of telephone poles, wires and fences to work around.  It was still fun shooting the SWC hand held.

These are terrific, especially the second one.

Thank you.  I have plenty more of a similar persuasion.  As for the color, not long ago I got Adobe Photoshop again after not having had it for about 10 years; I'm getting used to making color adjustments, although here I was probably lucky with the lens and the light and the film.

Next picture: this was about two years ago, right after I got the camera back after having the shutter curtains replaced.  It was in June, in the afternoon, and there is a white wall about 25 yards to the right, and also a frown fence, which look to have bounced a lot of light onto the subject.   When I got this back from scanning I could hardly believe how good it looked -- the rendition of the lens, I mean -- just like National Geographic, I thought.  Well, in those days that's probably what they were using.  This is with a Leica IIIf (1951), and a 50mm Summicron collapsible (1953).

Here is another one from the same day.

I agree with Eoin, very good shots Marc.

All you SWC fanatics probably already know about this thread, but just in case you don't:

RFF | Hasselblad SWC is cool

Philip!  Perusing the SWC threads, are you?  Might you be developing a slight...itch?  Come on, don't be shy? :)  I hadn't been familiar with the thread before you just mentioned it.  It is nice, and I noticed that our friend Chris (chrism) has dabbled and dazzled a bit there.  I prefer this one thread for my own sharing purposes.

It is indeed a fine camera.

Thanks for sharing the link...

Weeell ok since I'm already on the couch  :). I've been thinking about a wider lens for the Hasselblad and looked at 50mm options because they are small and light, but I'm not sure that would be wide enough. The 40mm lenses are quite large and heavy (and the 30mm positively unwieldy) so I've let my thoughts wander in the direction of one of the SWC models. We shall see...

That's my boy, let's it all out :)  There is no better therapy :)

I would just ask you to stay tuned a bit until I get to the part of my Israel series involving wildlife, which hopefully will illustrate the nifty close range possibilities that the camera offers.  12 inches is pretty close for a super wide angle.  Do you know how close the Hassy 40mm focuses?
