This is particularly well observed. I love the blonde hair reflection and relaxed air or the mirror-carriers.

Thanks David,

I remember when i took this picture the blond girl instinctually turn her head to make sure whether i took her picture or not, but having looked at me she know that I didn't take her picture because my lens did not aimed at her and my open left eye did not focuses on her, but what she didn't know is that i did take her picture and her reflection in the mirror that i focused on, turn out this coincidence make an interesting picture.

Beautiful photos with superlative IQ I see here.

I just think:

1) Need to swipe the cam from my elder brother before he sees this thread haha

2) Leica should build the latest incarnation of the D2 pronto.

With these kind of IQ from a cam years ago, imagine what they can do now.

Wow!

Thank you! You took the words out of my mouth. :) Unfortunately, it seems that we will have to wait longer for a modernised D2. :(

Can we make a signed petition for Leica to upgrade this Wonderful Camera, so we can just sent our D2 and they replace its sensor

Higer iso is all I needed :p

Well, higher ISO -yes! In addition, some more pixels would be nice (7-8 MP), and if the camera would be once in the workshop, the EVF of the G1... ;):D

Taken this summer with Digilux2. Yes, Leica must upgrade this beauty, I will buy it again in an upgrade model with better ISO and some stuff like paint on lens and why not vibration reduction.

The last four or five posts here all ask for newer and better D2. This is surely missing the point of the D2. This thread is packed with comments and images from those who love the D2 for what it is, not what it could be. You want bigger sensor, higher ISO and other bells and whistles - doing this will create a totally different camera and as a result will require different firmware, a different and bigger (or lower max f no.) lens. We will never see that, really!!, so lets just accept it for what it is. Let's keep this thread for D2 enthusiasts not new super improved D2 wannabees, it has all been discussed many times before.

Hello "nigelb", well, you are right concerning the point that this thread is "for D2 enthusiasts". And you can believe me that I am a D2 enthusiast, too, and that I have been loving and still love the D2 for what it is since I have bought it in March 2004.

Dreaming about a bigger sensor or higher ISO (NOT bells and whistles :D) is not forbidden, and similar to others I am confident that a few changes in the described direction would not change the nature of the camera.

So, don't be afraid that this thread will be occupied by "new super improved D2 wannabees", for it is possible to adore the D2 and simultaneously think about some improvements.

It's called evolutionary improvements the D2 enthusiasts are suggesting. Same sensor size, with 2011 design, fast af, bigger buffer, improved evf, improved screen would do it for me.

And if everything can be put into a slightly smaller body, no complaints from my side, but not too small please.

Otherwise, LEAVE IT UNCHANGED!

I love the D2 for whatever it is, but sometimes, when trying to review pictures or using the EVF, 1 can't help but to wish for it to work better...

For me, I wish the whole outlook will be retained, with an additional ISO button or wheel and a Quick B&W mode.

Bigger and better sensor, improved EVF and LCD.

Bigger SD card support and better processing speed.

I don't want a D3, I want it all, in the same body, same lens. LOL!

Hi

At last I want to give my contribution to this legendary camera with a couple of pictures.

This is the costume show in EL Campello/Alicante/Spain during the annual celebration of

the battle between Moores and Christians, every year in October.

These are the Christians, the show lasts about 3-4 hours.

All shot with manual 1/30/ fill in Digilux flash at 400ASA!!! and I like the warm atmosphere

so white balance is at daylight.

And I have more from other events.

Hope you enjoy.

Dre.

Here's one of my daughter. It's results like this that convince one how special the D2 is.
