It was a beautiful spring day in Washington yesterday, and I took the M-240 with Noctilux and ND filter to the zoo. Below are some of the results. I will admit that, after a week of playing with M files, I find them wonderfully malleable, and so these have been initially processed in LR, and then some of them have gone in and out of both Nik Viveza and Color Efex 4. You may or may not like the processing look, but I really wanted to determine what you could do with these files, and I am really liking the results.

There is not a problem of sensitivity to infrared on some synthetic fabrics such as the M8? In two pictures, it is clear that some jackets are black and not dark purple as they appear ...

Comte_de_mazan,

I see what you're referring to but those garments might actually be the colours that you see (who can tell?). I don't see other examples of magenta fabric that I'd expect to be black and the grass and foliage in the early pictures in the thread appear to me eye to be roughly the right colour (disregarding whatever colour balance was used) and not the yellowish-green that unfiltered M8 pictures produce.

Pete.

Sorry, i made a mistake with the picture above..

I think that this problem of magenta color cast will be revealed gradually ...

For me it is clear that the color of the jacket of the man in the left of the picture 2 is black and the shirt of the man of the picture 3 is also black ...

In the future I most strongly urge you to post images directly here. Many of us will not click through, which deprives us of your images, and deprives you of comment. This image is lovely.

I have tried to post the photo but the image was not accepted by the forum , it is 1200 px width

thank you

All you have to do is resize it so that no side is longer than 1024 pixels. Stuart Nordheimer

Longest edge 1024 and the file must be less than 300K, then it will upload. You can link to larger res versions, which is a good idea, but you should post the basic internet sized image here directly.

Next thing I know, he was asking me, "Is that a Leica? A digital Leica? I've never seen one. Hell, what are you shooting at? Show me." He was a photographer, in his spare time, and wants a Leica!

And obviously the other guy doesn't want him to know he's got a friggin RX1 wrapped up in his right hand .:D:D
