stuny Posted April 4, 2013 Share #121 Posted April 4, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Erick - The other reason why you probably couldn't post it is the file size, which is limited to 300kb. When you tried to post it you should have seen a message at the top of the file management window telling you the size of the file you attempted to post and the maximum allowable file size for the Forum. Erick & Olsen - An even better solution is to post a properly sized image and include the link. The image shown on the Forum will act as incentive for us to click through to see the bigger file. Without something to lure us into clicking through many of us will not do so and will miss seeing fine photos such as Erick's. Olsen - A few weeks ago we increased the sizes (file and pixel), however, since many Forum members do not have access to high speed Internet service we could not turn our backs on them, punishing them with very slow download speeds caused by large image files. algrove Posted April 6, 2013 Share #125 Posted April 6, 2013 I have tried to post the photo but the image was not accepted by the forum , it is 1200 px width thank you All you have to do is resize it so that no side is longer than 1024 pixels. Stuart Nordheimer Erick-I feel your pain as if you have posted on get and then want to use the same image here it had better be smaller as you have ben advised. get=1200 size 900, here-1000 size 300. I either make one smaller for both sites or two one for each site.

thighslapper Posted April 7, 2013 Share #128 Posted April 7, 2013 Churchy stuff.... a lot of shadow recovery on the interior shot which works ok on the M .... in fact the M9 version of this needed a 3 shot HDR to get the same result .... Peter in Cairns Posted April 9, 2013 Share #130 Posted April 9, 2013 I also looked at your photo stream Rick. Just loved your work. Reminds me just how good the M8 is. In fact I purchased a M9P about a year ago, used it a couple of times, though have mostly continued to use my M8.2 since. I will keep an eye for your work from now on Rick. Well done. Kind regards Peter Enright
furcafe Posted April 9, 2013 Share #131 Posted April 9, 2013 Just some shots (all ISO 3200) from a recent show, w/typically horrible club lighting (I used Noise Ninja at the same levels I used for ISO 1250 for the M9):
david perry Posted April 10, 2013 Share #132 Posted April 10, 2013 A couple of recent images taken indoors. The first is a portrait of our youngest daughter, bubbly and laughing as ever (dim artificial light, iso 3200, 50 Lux 1/125 wide open) and the second a candid taken at a dog show last weekend of a couple with their winning dog (iso 1000, 50 Lux 1/500 @ F4) Welcome, dear visitor! StephenPatterson Posted April 14, 2013 Share #134 Posted April 14, 2013 A few more shots from the M(240). I'm still struggling with WB, and skin tones just never seem correct. Hopefully we will have a firmware upgrade soon to address these issues. High ISO at 3200 is very clean. Above that I see quite a bit of banding in dark skies and shadows, so I'm using 3200 as my cutoff. First and third shots are with the 0.95 Noctilux, second and forth are with the 35 Summilux FLE (night shot of the building is at ISO3200), Kids Tug of War shot with the 21 Super Elmar M and B&W portrait with the 90 Elmarit M Welcome, dear visitor! stuny Posted April 17, 2013 Share #139 Posted April 17, 2013 She's so lovely you need to photographer her in a setting where she doesn't have to squint due to the bright sun. The last full frame shot in which she is shading her eyes avoids the squint.
gogopix Posted April 18, 2013 Share #140 Posted April 18, 2013 In my opinion, your first one is the best shot I've seen of the M240. b I have to agree. Many of the M images here in this thread just seem to have a lot more 'pop' or as Reid says 'presence' like the M9 I am wondering whether the raw converters are going to be critical to extracting the best from the M 240 Regards Victor
