I know this part will also fit the 21/3.4 Super-Elmar and would like one for that lens as well. EDIT: I have just been told it is a spare part and not a sale part, I will ask my spare parts guy. Unlike the Leica hoods and lens caps, there is no part number marked on it. If you bought the lens new, you will have one. Otherwise the previous owner may not have included it. I'll check this when i am back home. Â I have found that with my 35 FLE I have to put the ring on before the filter. The ring from the FLE fits on the 21/3.4, a filter is then able to be screwed on. Tried this on the 24/3.8 with two E46 Leica filters, to no avail. Slimmer filters could perhaps fit though i don't know. BTW just realized that the 35/1.4 FLE's and 24/3.8's hoods look exactly the same and seem to be usable on both lenses interchangeably. Â Â I think in another thread it was mentioned that the 35FLE hood design was slightly altered to allow fitting over a filter in situ. This may account for the different numbers.
