M10M + 1938 Hektor 2.8 cm

Vintage look for vintage toys : I ‘drove’ that 1973 Lotus some 40 years ago :)

The next generation enjoyed it a lot today :)

Lens testing this morning with M10M and Leica 28mm Elmarit first 9 element version at f5.6 with yellow filter. Not bad for an old lens. Erwin Puts’ review is spot on.. There’s a lack of fine details and at f5.6 performs about the same as the Summaron at the same aperture. The lens is low contrast and the files are a bit flat something I prefer for b/w. I didn’t do much post processing only exposure adjustments.

In case anyone is interested in the classic 28mm Elmarit v1 the one with the long rear lens group on the monochrom I have done more tests this time at f/4 and for some reason, subjectively at least I think the lens look better at f4. This lens blocks the meter on film and M9, M8 cameras but usable on bodies with LV. On my M10M I just need to set exposure compensation to -1. Here are a few in challenging lighting condition.

There’s extreme backlighting but the subject holds up. There’s no issue with flare ruining the shot due to older single coating. One is a crop of the original showing the details. I think this is going to be my go to 28mm for street photography.

Some say we were created by astronauts that came into our atmosphere in capsules, but for sure, some still want to be clad in or cling on to their capsules for sure

Sharing one special and unique lens. From what I know, this the movie 'Gone with the Wind' was shot with one of this.

Need to spend more time to get more from it....so far I am quite please with what it offers.

For the short time I had a M10M, I absolutely loved the Summicron-M 5cm Collapsible on the camera...

Shot with an orange filter attached at f/8.

I only have old (Leica) lenses, all vintage 1949 to my newest from 1962

But here's one with my 1949 Elmar 50/3.5 on my "new" M246M, a sluice bunker in the anti-tank canal around Antwerp.

And one from the same bicycle ride of the entrance gate to Fort Oelegem. These ancient concrete WW1 and WW2 structures work well in monochrom I think.

Same camera and lens as the one above

I buy some Leica LTM adapter for my monochrome M246 so i can use some my old optics, in this photos i used a Elmar 5cm f/3.5 from 1941 to do some tests and i like the results especially for a so old and economic lens..this is a bamboo "forest" near my house
