Today has been our last night Copenhagen. We've enjoyed the days of our stay and are curious to see what kind of photos have been taken during the challenge, which has been challenging for us also.

We will remember The Bishops Arms as place where you can get some introduction lessons from John "The Australian" how to use a M9 with a Noctilux.

Thanks a lot to Andy, Carl and Erik for the organization of this event!

Where have all the people gone?

I have just woken up in a hotel room. What day is it? Oh my poor head.

My sore throat has been cured by the continuous stream of Akvavit that Erik. Insisted on pouring down it, but oh my head! Now I need a cure for that! It seems the cure will be meeting Erik again late this morning. .... at the Leica shop, along with other survivors. Another hard day coming up. ;)

To Andy and Carl, you organized a great event. Thank you for that and to all participants for being part of it. Many of you have been very generous towards me and still are extending hospitality. Travelling as far as l have it means a lot to be so welcome.

Andy and Carl, thank you for organizing a great event. Enjoyed the days with Leica friends, the food, the drinks. Found the challenge a challenge as also elaborated by others.

Erik, thank you for showing the best parts of your hometown. Hope to see you again when you are over in Holland next.

We are just about to head off to the airport having walked out to see

The Little Mermaid. Twice.

Saw the PM in his Bentley too, so well with the trip just for that :)

Must have been Prince Henrik, the PM is a woman and she is driven around in a BMW or Opel ;-)

Thank you very much for putting all the work into making this a reality.

Now that I am back in the peaceful sanity of the Barbican, I too would like to add my thanks to all those already expressed. Andy and Carl did a marvellous job and the whole weekend was possibly the best ever. I must also add my thanks to Erik for his admirable suggestions as to where we should meet up on the other days. I must get down to Soho and buy a bottle of Aquavit - I had nearly forgotten who good it is! ;)

It was real fun to meet up with so many friends old and new - you know who you are - and a special mention for John (erl) for adding to the fun and for making the long journey, long may you do so! :)

Now to see what photos are worth a second look!

I couldn't post my thanks to Carl, Andy and Erik, and to all who came to make this one of the best Challenge ever, because the flight back to Nice was cancelled, had to spend the night in Brussels and flew home this morning. Nice airport had been hit with a severe thunderstorm, hailstone, rain , gushing wind etc. (no tsunami, though) and the closed the airport early yesterday evening.

Looking forward to discover the details that made you press the shutter...

It was a pleasure to be with you all.

Best regards.

What a photo!! Pete really isn't that small. Or is Eric really that big!!

I'll let a couple of others tell the story of what happened in Photographica this morning....I was literally drooling at their purchases!

Hi James

I can't wait to hear - I went there, but it had been closed for 10 minutes (what an escape - I could see my downfall through the window!).

all the best

Marilyn and I are now back home - thanks to Andy, Carl and Erik for all the hard work. I'm not at all sure I got anything decent during the two hours, but really the highlight of the occasion for us was meeting up with everyone once again - that was really good.

The Saturday dinner was splendid - lovely food indeed.

PS: We found another really good place to eat on Sunday night: Les Trois Cochons. Highly recommended for anyone making a return visit.

Dear all,

Firstly thanks to all the organizers for the hard and successful work in making this meeting happen.

Secondly also thanks to all participants for the nice company and interesting talks throughout the day.

I found Copenhagen a friendly and interesting place, had my 36 exposures in the box after 90 minutes.

Everyone in the streets very helpful and open to being photographed.

I am looking foreward to developing the films and to see what I captured...

All the best

Christoph

Let me add my voice to thanking Carl, Andy and Erik!

It was great to meet so many old friends and some new ones.

I will be back in Copenhagen - if only to complete my collection of photos of 6 foot tall blonde women in boots.

My biggest expense was Hamleys and Lego - with warm jackets and shirts a close second. Bar bills dont count. But the habit of mixing flavoured snaps is the best new invention I have come across this century.

Final night before deaprting and wanted to add my thanks to Erik, who I only got to know after the challenge, for showing us the great things about Copenhagen. Had a very nice, if rather boozy, last 3 nights with great company, and picked up a lovely souvenier from Photografica today (a 'brand new' IIIf with 50/3.5 - will post photos later)

Eileen and I arrived home last night and I'm now back in the office, reading the various posts and reflecting on a great weekend. We would just like to thank everyone involved in the organisation of the event and especially to Erik for showing us his wounderful city and introducing the Sunday evening crowd to a great mix of booze ..... thanks for the Monday morning feeling Erik!
