Are you then using auto ISO on your M for both EVF and Video shooting?
-
It's Danish
-
Jaap, in order to use EVF and or Video on your M - you sometimes have to change ISO,,, or am I missing something?

To capture in 16 Bit you would need to buy a Phase One XF 100MP camera
-
These batteries are almost 6 years old - worn out, just buy a new set and you will be good to go again.
-
Correction: it was upgraded to Sapphire glass

It's quite easy to spot the non-Leica battery's They are cheap or says 'for Leica' on them. Equally easy to tell when you have the real thing, they come in the usual silver Leica box. If you really want to be double safe buy it at you Leica store or one of the big online stores,,,

Re the small light sensor on the front of the M8, M9, M and M10. The principle was patented back in 2006 by Leica Although it wasn't a US patent until Oct. 15. 2009 DIAPHRAGM VALUE RECOGNITION US 2009/0256954 Scope of the Patent: A method for determining the current camera aperture (working aperture) of lenses on digital cameras having a viewfinder eyepiece and internal exposure measurement through the lens is wherein a further external exposure measurement is carried out past the lens and the value of the working aperture is determined from a reference table stored in the digital camera from the difference Delta BV between the two measured exposure values BV(int) and BV(ext). I have found it to be very accurate on M8 and M9, much better than I initially thought possible

The original Leica batteries are really good and reliable, I can also go through a whole day of shooting with two batteries, very solid performace! Suddenly after some years of duty they loos the power/performance quickly and then I just replace them.

How do you recognize the corrosion of the sensor?
Erik Gunst Lund replied to HenrikP's topic in Leica M9 / M-E
Here is one of the recent threads with a good sample of the corrosion! http://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/268331-m9-sensor-corrosiondust/ -
Leica M9 Repair/Upgrade; Shutter electronics repaired, new top and bottom plates, Gorilla glass/back 1500€ a la carte leather 100€ New sensor, check clean lube and adjustments for free. Basically a new camera,,, Leica professional Service; Total 3 weeks over Christmas and new-year incl estimate and shipping - I think that is quite good service!

Very nice hands on by Sir Jonathan Slack! Thank you! Looks like a very nice addition to the M-family of cameras! Well done Leica

When Nikon introduced the Df (No video, with Live View) with the identical sensor from their D4 (with video and LV) Nikon Nordic NPS stated that the still images from the Df where better quality and this was due to omitting the video capability from the sensor board. I found out about this after we did comparison images. So I would think this could be the case for the M10 vs. SL as well.

Indeed ISO has nothing to do with this, it is an educated guess by the camera - From previous posting I made some years ago: The principle was actually patented back in 2006 so accessible to every one Although it wasn't a US patent until Oct. 15. 2009 DIAPHRAGM VALUE RECOGNITION US 2009/0256954 A method for determining the current camera aperture (working aperture) of lenses on digital cameras having a viewfinder eyepiece and internal exposure measurement through the lens is wherein a further external exposure measurement is carried out past the lens and the value of the working aperture is determined from a reference table stored in the digital camera from the difference Delta BV between the two measured exposure values BV(int) and BV(ext).
