Yes, his Museo del Prado extension is also great.

war Posted June 7, 2016 Share #1326 Posted June 7, 2016 Thanks Michael, Valencia. The very unusual spiral ribbed vaults on solomonic columns of the silk commerce hall (circa 1500). This is an exceptionally nice photo.

dem331 Posted June 8, 2016 Share #1329 Posted June 8, 2016 Totally at a loss to even guess where this building might be. Specially with the seasons greetings, palm trees, lush grass and what looks like the statue of a roman emperor in balck and gold.
Michael Geschlecht Posted June 8, 2016 Share #1330 Posted June 8, 2016 (edited) Hello Wally, Could we be somewhere in Florida? Could that "roman emperor" be perhaps more Seminole than Roman? Best Regards, Michael Edited June 8, 2016 by Michael Geschlecht
war Posted June 8, 2016 Share #1331 Posted June 8, 2016 Hi Michael. No not Florida, actually not even close to Florida but it is close to water, and the statue is not a Seminole or a Roman. Hi Enrique. The statue is not of a Roman Emperor, but of an Emperor for sure.
gregor_24 Posted June 8, 2016 Share #1332 Posted June 8, 2016 (edited) King Kamehameha Statue in front of Aliiolani Hale, Oahu Hawaii Edited June 8, 2016 by gregor_24
dem331 Posted June 8, 2016 Share #1333 Posted June 8, 2016 Yes, I see it can not be a Roman because what he is wearing on his head which looks to be some sort of pharaonic headgear although I do not think that we are talking Egypt here. The pose is the same as most Roman Emperors with left hand raised and the staff, scepter or whatever it is in the left. A copy of a Roman statue with local attire I guess. Emperor kind of rules out South America, which was my initial suspicion, since I think it is definitely tropical. I would say some Carribean island but that is near Florida. Must be on the other side of the world, some Asia Pacific civilization. I am desperately unknowledgeable in this area. Philippines?
war Posted June 8, 2016 Share #1334 Posted June 8, 2016 King Kamehameha Statue in front of Aliiolani Hale, Oahu HawaiiYou have it. Designed, but never used for a palace, it is now the Hawaii State Supreme Court. It's your turn.

dem331 Posted June 10, 2016 Share #1340 Posted June 10, 2016 No idea, looks like a roll of honour in the OOF area. I could just as easily have guessed Oxford. One of the College chapels or dining halls.
