I will post tomorrow if the forest fires don't get any closer - see SL601 group on Facebook of the fires lighting up the night sky taken from my patio.

Hello Again Wilson,

Do you think that after you & your family are safe & you have looked after various pine martens, cameras & cars, that you might start a Thread in Barnack's Bar to let us know what is happening with the fires between you & Napoleon I's home town?

They have been reported in a sketchy manner here at the Latiude of Lop Nor.

And the Longitude of Charcot Island.

Best Regards,

Michael

Here is your next one. I have had to do a small amount of cloning of the background as there were a couple of really obvious clues.

PS Fires seem much more under control this morning and wind has dropped almost completely.

Emily's Restaurant, Cape Town, South Africa.

Not really. Emily's is now in Kloof Street but was close to this building. I don't think this building is or was a restaurant. Both times I have visited it, it was more of a museum.

This is the building, but I never took the time to identify it - We were too busy.

The V&A Clocktower Port Captain's Office built in 1883.

Cape Town S Africa.

Correct. The second floor has lots of mirrors so that the lazy port captain can see what is happening around him without turning his head. It does lean slightly but apparently they have halted it tilting any further. The Victoria and Alfred dock is named after Victoria's second son Alfred, who visited South Africa as a 16 year old midshipman in 1860, being the first member of the British royal family to visit.
