very tricky light, give a little bit of movement in the picture, all with M8Raw2Dng and tweaked in Lightroom

Thanks Ernst.

The color variation should be modeled on record covers of rock bands in the 1970s.

It's even better in colour. Lovely photo.

It could have been used as an album cover for Yes or Led Zeppelin...

:( Nice to read every one is Happy with the M8. I love it too.. I Love my M8 and learned the colours from M cameras I too still believe it is a good utile. Last week my M8 was dead and it's shutter has broken in pieces while on holiday in Paris. So my M8 has betrayed me and ruined all my planes. Today I went to see the dealer to send it back to Solms in Germany . as the guaranty is over, I don't know how much I have to pay. This is the second time it goes to the repair table within one year when I bought it. Luckily I still have my M6 and I am going to dust off it and going to have my second thought on M8

(These photos were done by a iPhone) :(

I am frustrated!!

Please check something on your camera before you send it in: On the sides of the lens mount, there should be some small half moon shaped metal clamps, almost like the ones you press into the back of a picture frame to clamp the back onto it. See if one of those is missing (if I remember correctly there is one n each side, top, bottom. On my M8, one of these clamps had come loose. It fell out when I changed lenses. I noticed it and sent my camera in to Leica.

My theory is that these metal clamps can pop out and if the are inside the body and the metal gets into the shutter blades, this could be the cause for this catastrophic shutter destruction. I shared my theory with Leica, but never heard back about it.
