tenezus Posted February 13, 2014 Share #405 Posted February 13, 2014 Superb photos guys! Henry - the kids running remind me that the shot is more important than getting it sharp! farnz Posted March 8, 2014 Share #412 Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) . Especially for infrared. So much so that I've just bought a silver M8 to replace the black one I traded a year ago. wda Posted March 8, 2014 Share #413 Posted March 8, 2014 Excellent M8/IR picture without the 'in-your-face' emphasis that this is IR. That is good enough reason to buy a replacement M8. I have recently been revisiting some of my early M8 work trying newer processing and fresher techniques with most pleasing results. I have a feeling that the M8 will endure because of its intrinsic quality and proven reliability, in most cases. The sensor size if fixed at a level which would not appeal nowadays; but for many purposes 10 mp is perfect.
Herr Barnack Posted March 13, 2014 Share #414 Posted March 13, 2014 I have to admit that in spite of the age of these cameras, they still are capable of producing very nice images. In this era of throw away digital cameras, that gives a nowhere near affluent guy like me who is plotting the purchase of a $7000 USD M240 reason for hope!

fursan Posted March 14, 2014 Share #416 Posted March 14, 2014 The M8 is still the same camera it was when it was introduced. It is still fit for purpose. What purpose? You decide.
