Japan is correct but not Honda or Toyota and indeed there is at least one red one on the island. Maybe this will help...

The car hire site (all in Japanese) shows one each red and yellow, but I still have no idea what the car is.  On second thought:  Probably a Nissan, and maybe the Micra or the Note

Neither Daihatsu or Nissan, just a few more brands left 😉 and indeed there is one yellow and one red.

That's correct Subaru R1 from a rental company on Naoshima 1 red and 1 Yellow Subaru R1 and they also have a white Daihatsu Midget. Over to you.

As an aside, the Australian produced Austin A55 MkIIs were marketed in Australia as the A60 and not the A55.  They also had, with the exception of a few very early examples, the 1622cc B Series engine right from the start of production, as did the Morris Oxford and the Wolseley, although the designation of 15/60 was retained for the latter car.
