UliWer Posted November 6, 2023 Share #20861  Posted November 6, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) The color makes me think at a Citroën 5 CV (C2, short version). No idea about an owner (Nevil Westwood, who circled Australia in an early Citroën???).

stuny Posted November 6, 2023 Share #20865  Posted November 6, 2023 Alain - Almost exactly the right information - It's a 1921 which I imagine is indistinguishable from the 1920. Ranier Grimaldi was the owner, and it resides in a moderate sized museum housing his cars, on the harbor in Monaco. Your turn. My guess is that the window stickers just visible at far side rear passenger's window indicate the owner is a member of the GRRC... Philip. wlaidlaw Posted November 8, 2023 Share #20873  Posted November 8, 2023 Humber from around 1932? Wilson
wlaidlaw Posted November 8, 2023 Share #20874  Posted November 8, 2023 Revised guess Rover 20 from slightly later say 1937. The long front side windows look very familiar as I had a Rover 16 from 1938. The windows are raised and lowered by a long lever moving through quite a short arc (quick action). Wilson
Ivan Goriup Posted November 8, 2023 Share #20875  Posted November 8, 2023 Wilson, not a '32 Humber nor a '37 Rover. This car is right in the middle - a 1935. Perhaps a slightly larger crop will help. Ivan Goriup Posted November 9, 2023 Share #20878  Posted November 9, 2023 Interesting path to the correct answer......starting with Cadillac, then Wolseley and finishing up with the correct, perfectly detailed solution. You are right in all categories: model year, make and model - it is indeed a 1935 SS Cars SS1 Saloon. As everyone who follows this thread surely knows, William Lyons's Swallow Coachworks organization was renamed Jaguar cars after the war. Sold new to a gentleman in Hertfordshire and discovered by a Swiss collector in 1993, who treated it to a complete and thorough restoration. Shot at the 2015 Pebble Beach Cocours d'Elegance. Ivan Goriup Posted November 9, 2023 Share #20879  Posted November 9, 2023 (edited) ....and the full side view. I felt any other crop from another angle would immediately reveal what car this is.
