Wilson Just had to look up the programme Wilson - it was actually Tim driving, but in a change of car from the programme list - he certainly wasn't in a Type 51. Think it was a Type 44, though my knowledge of many Bugatti models is sadly lacking.
wlaidlaw Posted May 27, 2024 Share #21804 Posted May 27, 2024 Graham, The T44 looks a bit like a T43 sports car that has been over-indulging in the pies. It has a 3 litre atmospheric engine with supposedly 80HP. The T43 in turn is the sports car version of the T35 racing car. The T44's performance is best described as leisurely, about the same as the slowest version (Blue Label) of a 3 litre Bentley. Unlike many Bugatti cars, the T44 has good brakes if they are well set up, as it uses a DeWandre-Repousseau vacuum servo. The T44 was superceded in 1929 by the T49. NigelG Posted May 27, 2024 Share #21808 Posted May 27, 2024 (edited) I think it’s actually a Scion FR-S 🤔 (But they’re all the same car I think under the different branding) Edited May 27, 2024 by NigelG
a.j.z Posted May 27, 2024 Share #21809 Posted May 27, 2024 Interesting: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scion_(automobile) But then Nigel is the winner because it is more Toyota than Subaru.
