a.j.z Posted January 10, 2022 Share #16809 Posted January 10, 2022 Tomorrow, I will post further parts.
Rona!d Posted January 10, 2022 Share #16810 Posted January 10, 2022 There are some modern design elements in the roof/trunk section mixed with traditional ones like the sideline and thin bumpers. Lets me think of a US car or a European US car (like Opel). Would around 1938-1940 be correct?
a.j.z Posted January 10, 2022 Share #16811 Posted January 10, 2022 (edited) no US car of any kind. Right decade. Edited January 10, 2022 by a.j.z
Rona!d Posted January 10, 2022 Share #16812 Posted January 10, 2022 Alfa? Possibly a 6C Limousine.
a.j.z Posted January 10, 2022 Share #16813 Posted January 10, 2022 Not an Alfa. We are kind of circling around the target.
Rona!d Posted January 10, 2022 Share #16814 Posted January 10, 2022 Lancia? Astura or the like?
a.j.z Posted January 10, 2022 Share #16815 Posted January 10, 2022 Not Italian. I meant circling in a geographic sense.
Rona!d Posted January 10, 2022 Share #16816 Posted January 10, 2022 If the rear window would be larger I´d think of a Maybach (like the SW42). Maybe there was a coachbuilder who made smaller rear windows.
a.j.z Posted January 10, 2022 Share #16817 Posted January 10, 2022 (edited) The Maybach you mentioned looks pretty similar in particular from the side but no. Not German. GN8 Edited January 10, 2022 by a.j.z
Rona!d Posted January 10, 2022 Share #16818 Posted January 10, 2022 Thanks for "not GERMAN", so I can exlude the Horch and Wanderers I had in mind. Somehow I´m trying to avoid french and english cars so far although the roof end has a french flow. Could it be a car from Austria (Steyr 530/630)? Rona!d Posted January 10, 2022 Share #16819 Posted January 10, 2022 I think it´s a Steyr 530 (and Steyr is REALLY the last car I will mention as I´m pretty sure): Good Night (GN8).
a.j.z Posted January 11, 2022 Share #16820 Posted January 11, 2022 (edited) Yes, a Steyr 530 (only one source in the internet says it is a 630 but all the others say it is a 530). Not so easy to find information on the car. 456 were built 1935/36, 6 cyl, 2260 ccm, 55 hp, 110 km/h (https://www.voz.co.at/Gallery/Steyr/page-0004.htm). Welcome, dear visitor!
