NigelG Posted June 20, 2020 Share #13203 Posted June 20, 2020 I had the advantage of having looked closely at the Tatra T77 that was displayed at the V+A museum exhibition “Cars: Accelerating the Modern World” and remembered the distictive windscreen design that Jaray carried over to the T87.... I’m still stuck in the UK with my photo drives languishing in our New York apartment but will try to find something local if I can.
wlaidlaw Posted June 20, 2020 Share #13204 Posted June 20, 2020 The Raymond Loewy designed 1934 Hupmobile Aerodynamic had a very similar three piece windscreen and was a rather striking looking car. It was powered by a straight eight engine but made by whom? Some sources say Lycoming and some Continental. The pair I saw were in Stahl's Automotive Collection in Chesterfield, Michigan http://www.stahlsauto.com/automobiles/1934-hupmobile-aerodynamic/ It was one of those annoying occasions when I got there and found I had left my Leica behind in the hotel we were staying at in Keego Harbour. stuny Posted June 26, 2020 Share #13209 Posted June 26, 2020 Michael - Many pre and post war MGs share similarities. Not a PB. I'll wait a bit before revealing more of the car.

Jim could I please encourage you to post clips resized to larger pixel dimensions (using resize in Photoshop or similar) You can now post images with the largest dimension being 2480 pixels. On small laptop screens or on an iPad, your images are the size of a postage stamp and could be anything. Wilson

It looked perfectly visible on a computer screen and I had no idea it behaved differently on other devices. As I had resized that photo in the past, and forgot to save the original, I had better select a larger photo in its place. Here is a replacement photo (the puzzle is the green utility, not the car behind it): Welcome, dear visitor! Jim J Posted June 30, 2020 Share #13220 Posted June 30, 2020 Wilson is correct. It's an Austin 1800 ute and the car behind it (which wasn't part of the puzzle) is an Austin A55 (the older body style before the Farina version): Welcome, dear visitor!
