a.j.z Posted November 25, 2018 Share #11652 Posted November 25, 2018 (edited) Ronald, I just saw that hektor had mentioned Bristol 400 and the overcorrect ansser was that it is not a Bristol 400. If I had seen this I also would have excluded Bristol. Nigel must have had a lot of fun 😂 Edited November 25, 2018 by a.j.z
NigelG Posted November 25, 2018 Share #11653 Posted November 25, 2018 Sorry if the “not a Bristol 400” answer put everyone off their stride.....it is indeed a Bristol 402 - built 1950 currently finished in silver-grey. Total production based on chassis numbers of 20 + 1 prototype. 2 LHD produced.

I knew I know that car but misunderstanding the Bristol 400 answer wasn‘t a waste of time because I had a wonderful time screening my archive for the strangest british cars made between 1946 and 1953. If only I’d have the publication rights for what I found, we would have a great and hard time with next riddles ;-))) Do you restore that 402?
NigelG Posted November 25, 2018 Share #11657 Posted November 25, 2018 Unfortunately not...it’s one of my favourites along with the 404. I have restored my 408 which is a rather different drive with it’s Chrysler V8...
