J_Thompson Posted November 9, 2010 Share #521 Posted November 9, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Stuart, you're so close that I have to give it to you. You got the Chrysler and the Ghia parts correct but it's not a Dual. This is a 1954 Chrysler Ghia Special GS-1 coupe. Notice the similarities with the 1955 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia in the area of the belt line fender hump and the curve of the C pillar. This series of cars were built with the collaboration of Chrysler's styling chief, Virgil Exner, who was an admirer of European designers such as Battista Pininfarina and Boano and Frua of Carrozzeria Ghia. stuny Posted November 10, 2010 Share #522 Posted November 10, 2010 Thank you, John. It certainly is lovely, especially the greenhouse and roof. There's enough here that I'm certain somebody will get the manufacturer and series, if not the exact model, pretty quickly, and that's enough. I call this shot Rauchenberg Meets Ingres. Extra credit for more detail. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members!
