Advertisement Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Hi PasMichiel, Take a look here Name this car..... I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
PasMichiel Posted August 20, 2010 Share #322 Posted August 20, 2010 Seconded. I think Bristol gained the rights to 'transport' the machinery after the war. At first I thought it was an old Ford or Austin but the V motor and three carburettors was a degree of exoticsm to which they did not rise in Britain. The last I hear though was that Tony Crook, who owned the car company, had retired but the company was still producing fine, if somewhat dated, cars - a kind of old Cohiba with an armchair and engine aorund it. No V engine. It's a line 6.
LuxBob Posted August 22, 2010 Share #323 Posted August 22, 2010 No V engine. It's a line 6. Better not to trust me with your car, then. Nor you camera come to think of it.

This one came on a few years after the Nash Healey. Kent
stuny Posted August 22, 2010 Share #328 Posted August 22, 2010 (edited) I was thinking Dual Ghia. Peter Lawford had one and drove it during the beginning credits of his TV show, the Thin Man. Edited August 23, 2010 by stuny
kkochheiser Posted August 22, 2010 Share #329 Posted August 22, 2010 Yes, the Dual Ghia was a great favorite of the Rat Pack. Dean and Frank had them plus a couple of Presidents! This one is from 1957. Over to you! Kent

stuny Posted August 23, 2010 Share #336 Posted August 23, 2010 Very good, John, the Cisitalia 202 with fully enveloped body my Pininfarina. Only about 170 or so were built, but it changed the direction automobile design. This one is in the MoMA permanent collection, where it has resided since 1951. J_Thompson Posted August 23, 2010 Share #338 Posted August 23, 2010 OK, everybody. This particular model had a production run of a little over 300 examples. BTW, I may be away from a computer over the next several days, so might be slow in replying. Good luck. Welcome, dear visitor!
