menos I M6 Posted June 10, 2012 Share #546 Posted June 10, 2012 Hey Jean-Marc - how is your 50/1.2 ;-) It's looking good, I hope, you get to love it! As your late love for the classic landmark Canon rangefinder glass, I have a little candy for you - ever heard about the black Canon 100 ƒ2 LTM lens? It's a long time favorite of mine and I decided, to shoot this year's 24h race of Le Mans with it. A few shots from killing time at the airport are on my blog today - fresh from the hotel room: 2012 Le Mans 24h - heading for France This lens is basically the older twin brother of the black 85 ƒ1.8 LTM lens - very similar optical and mechanical construction, hence many similarities in imaging. Anyway, I am hitting myself, that I forgot, to take a lens hood with me !@#$%

Guest JMF Posted June 10, 2012 Share #548 Posted June 10, 2012 (edited) Dirk, yes, I'm digging this 50 1.2 lens, nice and smooth at night ! Had a look at your late blog post and for sure you're having fun practicing panning and shooting on a long lens ! Le Mans will be rewarding Hope you'll shoot at night even with long-ish exposure and letting some flare in from the cars ' headlights ! Let us know how the M9 performs at 2500 iso or more Have you brought a tripod along? Hey Jean-Marc - how is your 50/1.2 ;-)It's looking good, I hope, you get to love it! WestMichigan Posted June 20, 2012 Share #560 Posted June 20, 2012 bitingly sharp the 35 v4 cron....just love it! Even at posting size/resolution the image'sinherent sharpness and vividness come shining through. It's as if there has been a window opened in my screen showing the scene moment you've wonderfully documented. R in Mi
