The images in this thread were a contributing factor in my deciding to purchase just two days ago an M8.2, the arrival of which I am eagerly awaiting.  So, thanks to all the contributors to this thread, and especially to Andy, for starting the thread.  My M8.2 being shipped from Japan to the U.S. is supposed to arrive on Tuesday.

Great stuff Chuck

quite a time gone by, hope you got the camera!

best

Andy

Its over 10 years ago that I started this thread as Andym911.

Just sharing a recent image showing that M8 and old glass still works!

Never had to repair the camera and is still going strong.

Elmar 3,5 and 160asa.

thanks for looking

Andy

Andy this has always been one of my fave threads on LUF.  I have been through it many times and just looked it up again now!

Here's a bump to see if any new M8 owners want to contribute!

Hi, Mmanda, in case you haven't noticed it, there is also The view through older glass thread.  I started this thread in 2012 because I didn't have an M8 at the time (I do again now)  and had plenty of 'older glass' but wasn't able to contribute to Andy's thread.

The view through older glass thread is not tied to one camera and allows any camera and lens combination to be used that complies with the forum's rules (any Leica camera or lens or any from Leica's 'L-Mount Alliance' with Panasonic and Sigma) and the definition of 'older glass' is that a lens mustn't be the current model that is still available new -  it's all laid out in the thread's opening post.

I hope the thread is of interest to you and that we'll see you there too! 😊

Pete.
