hector_jorge Posted January 27, 2010 Share #127 Â Posted January 27, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) During years a made a lot of holiday travel with any of my Leica R cameras. Now I`m travelling with a Lumix GH1. It is lighter (very important), and easier to replace if it is lost or robbed. But when at home, I only use one of my R or M Leicas. Mascarpone Posted January 27, 2010 Share #128  Posted January 27, 2010 Well, I wish I had more time... I still have many analog cameras and only one digital camera. My job means that I have to work with digital photos all day as my business deals with photo retouching and photo databases. An M6, a 2/35 and a Tri-X, that's a nice change on the weekend.  And this is my list:  Leica M6 Canon VT deluxe 35 and 50 Summicrons 2,0/100 LTM Canon 3,5/136 LTM Canon 4,5/21 adapted Zeiss Contarex Biogon 4/21 Voigtländer 2/35 LTM Canon 1,2/35 Voigtländer 1,5/50 LTM Zeiss wartime lens AUFSU Yashica 35cc (much less noise than a Leica M) Canon EOS 1v and some 'L' lenses   Cameras that I own but don't use any more:  Olympus mju II Zenza Bronica GS-1 w/ 3 lenses Linhof Color w/ 150mm lens Zeiss Ikon Contarex w/ 2/50 - a stupid mechanic ruined it
jerryharwood Posted January 27, 2010 Share #129 Â Posted January 27, 2010 Hasselblad 501CM, Minolta Dynax 9 & Dynax 9XI, Leica M6TTL; when I really thought about it, it was the Digital that went- no regrets whatsoever; I had a leica Digilux 2 for 6 years, and a Nikon D200; both good cameras,, the redundancy factor decided me though and out they went ! carbon_dragon Posted January 28, 2010 Share #133 Â Posted January 28, 2010 Film: Leica M2, KS15-4 (mil version of M2-R), CL Contax RTS III, Aria Konica I Minolta XE-5 (broken), 600si x 2 Contax IIa BD, IIa RD Digital: Leica M8 Canon 5D Sony A350 Â I used one of the M2's last weekend, but the truth is I use mostly the digitals these days. There is a psychological barrier to loading the film, using up the film in 35 exposure increments, finding a place to process it (or doing it myself for black and white), and spending 2-3 hours scanning it in when I can bypass all that and just plug in the card to my computer and have it all done for me, along with being able to 'develop' the raw files into color or black and white. It's a sad thing really. I had the M2 out with the M8 taking the exact same shots and comparing the two of them to see how the M8 compared (since it is a new addition). I fully intend to run some of the stock of film I have in my fridge and freezer though those other cameras though.

Photoskeptic Posted February 1, 2010 Share #140 Â Posted February 1, 2010 Earlier I listed my two film camera bodies. In the last two weeks I shot five rolls of film. However, I'm listing them on eBay this week! First I sent two rolls of e6 off and the lab screwed them both up. I took two more rolls of bw to be developed at our (last) pro lab in the area - they still haven't done them after a week and a half - I feel they will be closing soon. My scanner packed up this past summer and I spent three futile months trying to get it repaired and can't see spending the money for a decent one again. God, I love film, but the hassle isn't worth it anymore so I'm saying goodbye after fifty years. Â One more thing. I called Dwayne's in Kansas about developing my Efke 25. They said they never heard of it!!
