They didn't ... you just have to pay extra. Plus, back then, that was all you got. At least the X1 gives you two options to view... we've come a long way in 70 or so years! :D

 

If the X1 is still working in 70 years time, give me a call, and I will give you £100

If we are both alive in 70 years, I will give you 1,000,000 pesos. ;)

 

At the rate things are going in science I'll take you up on that offer. Although like my cameras I doubt anything will be original parts.

well it didn't take long to put interchangeable lenses on it, shame they didn't remember that when they designed the X1 :confused:

Well, Leica will never make a low cost M camera. So, you either buy an M or you get their fixed lens model. At least there is a choice.
