stuny Posted November 27, 2006 Share #3 Posted November 27, 2006 Johan - You continue to find new and impressive venues for your favorite photographic subject. This one works very well, I believe, because of two elements. One is the placement of your son in the distance, moving in the direction he is moving. The other is having the net loom so large in the foreground, and add depth as it goes deep into the frame.

derek_stanton Posted November 28, 2006 Share #10 Posted November 28, 2006 Mighty fine. Do you have any others from this same position? Might make for a nice stock image if you had one where the kid has a raquet in-hand.
JHAG Posted November 28, 2006 Author Share #11 Posted November 28, 2006 Well, Derek, thanks a lot. Yes, I have. In B/W too. But green surfaces/white lines/black lines contrast is obviously more effective. About stock, I shall have a private question, if you will.

mitchell Posted November 28, 2006 Share #15 Posted November 28, 2006 I agree with all the previous praise. Great shot. I have a question. Do those with experience with the Noctilux feel this would have been have been as effective shot with another lens, a Lux or Cron? So much of this success seems to depend on the beauty of the OOF net. Is this rendering unique to the Noctilux? Thanks, Mitchell

JHAG Posted November 29, 2006 Author Share #18 Posted November 29, 2006 @ducky @fotograf @gareth Thanks a lot for your appraisal @Stuny : the subject is not so easy because he hates to be photographed. Hence the distance : restraint pushes towards a form
