Having recently purchased an Industar-50 f3.5, I have an issue regarding focussing. When set to infinity, it doesn't focus correctly, seemingly needing a slight turn beyond infinity. Also when trying to focus on objects at 0.65m (the minimum focal distance of this lens), I need to stand about 1m away to focus properly. I don't know if it's a problem with the camera or the lens. Any suggestions?

(0) Preface Confession: I like my Soviet Leica clones! There, I’ve said it! You may start throwing eggs and rotten tomatoes at me right here and now - or you may defer until you have read this piece with a little tongue-in-cheek Since this forum teems with true LTM experts (no irony here, I appreciate the knowledgeable and helpful members of this subforum), most of you may rightfully decide not to bother with these propaedeutic musings. No offence taken. Fig. 1: ca. 1955 FED-1(G), ca. 1951 KMZ Zorki-1b, 1932 Leica II(D), 1953 Leica IIIf(RD), harmoniously side by side. Although this whole post is is a bit off topic, I take the liberty to post in LUF, because even the Leica company museum in Wetzlar proudly exhibits an astonishing array of Leica clones, understandably, in order to underpin the desireability of the original.

Hi there, My first Leica with Industar 22 lens. Purchased the body (AUS$178.00) and lens (AUS$49) separately. Have just shot and developed my first roll and everything seems to be working as it should. Unfortunately in the past someone has rather unsympathetically mounted a flash terminal(?) to the top plate and then scratched an X next to one side to keep track of the correct coupling. I expect to remove this and insert small screws as a best fix. This is an incredibly easy camera to use and the few prints I have made suggest the Industar is not a bad lens at all. Thank you for looking, I thoroughly enjoy the forum for the very available and accurate information a novice like me can access.
