Why not an "I love my M7" thread?

It is only ugly and embarrassing to you and some other hyper sensitives. Those who are confident in their position will not respond. You, on the other hand, seem to identify with this list, which is only an internet forum, are hyper-sensitive.

You presume to know a lot about people. My opinion is that many people, like myself, don't immediately respond to comments like yours, NOT because we're not confident in our own view. It's because we recognize that expressing our opinion to arrogant agitators such as yourself, is pointless.

If Andreas wants to kick me out, he will. And if he is honorable he will include the full thread that justified it. Look, it's only an opinion place. Dont take it so personally.

There was nothing about what preceded your initial comment that justified it. It seems as though you were just wanting to pick a fight with an easy target. This is what bullies do.

My problem is not with the opinion you expressed, it's with the manner in which you did it. If you were really interested in a constructive discourse, then you would frame your arguments in a way that invites relevant participation, and not shut it down.

I much prefer MP's over M7's. And the whole "camera porn" thing is probably pretty superficial, but it doesn't pretend to be anything but that. I'm sure there's a thread for all different kind of interests. You're in the wrong thread. Instead of hijacking this one, why not start a different thread called, "I love to be jerk". At least then we'll all know what kind of discussion we're having.

...hmmm, I'm hoping there is some sort of lens cap involved here, Ellie.

I guess your right I have to be more careful with direct sunlight into the lens :o I was also taking pictures with the camera though.

At least you're using the camera and not 'fondling' it. My M7 and a Leicaflex SL are two that I take to the beach often -- just about an every other day thing here in Florida with a dog -- and the two cameras have the wear to prove it. Watch out out for the sand though. It can do a number on a camera.

PS -- I even dropped an M4 into the ocean. That's an even more expensive repair.

Leica M7 Titanium 50 Jahre

I liked using an M7 a few years ago, but was feeling it made me 'lazy' and sold it. Now after an M9 (and two young boys) I'm embracing the idea of letting the camera help sometimes.

The 'ultimate' M7 ? It really is very beautiful in person, and feeling fantastic in the hands. I'm falling for it hard, its been a box animal without a roll through it yet, but I'm worried if it stays around I'll just have to start using film more. What to do? Good for the heart and head, but not so on the bank account.
