MPerson Posted November 1, 2009 Share #61 Posted November 1, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) James - just be thankful you are not sitting in one of the cars all the way to Brighton! Mind you it is rare they have this weather, usually they are blessed with just cold and a bit of mist/fog.

Mind you it is rare they have this weather, usually they are blessed with just cold and a bit of mist/fog. Andy, you're right, I've seen this run on and off since I was a child and it always seems to be one of those crisp autumn mornings. The weather's not easing and I'm just trying to make my mind up whether or not to load another roll in the Brownie and try to shoot some moving cars with it
spylaw4 Posted November 1, 2009 Share #63 Posted November 1, 2009 Andy, thanks for the listing of LLL's! It's always an idea to bring a printed one along to the venue especially when there's a large gathering.

Mind you it is rare they have this weather, usually they are blessed with just cold and a bit of mist/fog. Forgot all about this and was surprised to see the cars in Regent St. yesterday afternoon. Mobbed making shooting difficult, but I did not have the camera along anyway.

Seeingeye Posted November 1, 2009 Share #67 Posted November 1, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) James - just be thankful you are not sitting in one of the cars all the way to Brighton! Mind you it is rare they have this weather, usually they are blessed with just cold and a bit of mist/fog. It was nearly a soaking wet day last year, as well. It poured with rain on the Saturday and as I had a ride in one of the cars I was out buying some waterproofs just in case. In the event, it was a dull day, but fortunately no rain. A very enjoyable way to get to Brighton, though. Regards Mike
Tim B Posted November 1, 2009 Share #68 Posted November 1, 2009 Andy - that's quite a list! I think that is the most I will have seen at one of our meetings in the relatively short time I've been coming. I see I'm down as an unconfirmed. I have arranged to take the day off - so I'm now confirmed and looking forward to meeting the regulars and others I've not met before. Do you think we should warn the Photographer's Gallery? Just a thought. LouisB When I was there a couple of weeks ago the only things open were the shop and cafe. All the galeries were still preparing for shows. Maybe we could use the empty space See you on 21st. Tim

farnz Posted November 2, 2009 Share #71 Posted November 2, 2009 Never mind name badges, I like an idea of T-shirts - "London Leica Louts on Tour"... Regards, Bill (The original Leica Lout;)) Easy, Bill, there could be a rumble if we come across any Rolls Royce Thugs during our ramblings - you know, sharp intakes of breath, unprovoked indolent stares and tsk-ing. It could turn ugly! Pete.

biglouis Posted November 2, 2009 Author Share #73 Posted November 2, 2009 Of course it is the Burberry B*st*rds you've got to be really careful about. Not what the marque used to represent, at all. LouisB
farnz Posted November 2, 2009 Share #74 Posted November 2, 2009 It's the Rolex Rumblers and the Mont Blanc Mob that bother me... Regards, Bill I hear what you're saying, Bill, but remember that the Rolls Royce Thugs usually have the Trailer Trash 'in tow' and they're as nasty as a nasty thing that's been fed exclusively on nasty pills, beaten with the Nasty Stick and sent to the school of hard nasty! <shudders imperceptibly> Pete.
