biglouis Posted October 21, 2009 Author Share #41 Posted October 21, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Andy has come up with a really good idea. Let's meet at the photographer's gallery at 11:00 (should freak them out to see the Leica/Magnum crowd come along) and then as Andy suggests down through Soho to China Town for lunch-ish. All agreed???? LouisB
Advertisement Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Hi biglouis, Take a look here London Meet - any ideas?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ptarmigan Posted October 21, 2009 Share #42 Posted October 21, 2009 I'm happy with that though I'll be in 'town' earlier, probably no later than 9.
earleygallery Posted October 21, 2009 Share #43 Posted October 21, 2009 Agreed, although speaking with Brian at the weekend we thought the Chandos pub opposite the National Portrait Gallery would be a good place to either start or end up at. If we start at the Photographers Gallery the Chandos would be ideal for lunch/refreshments (and being a Sammy Smiths pub their drinks prices are very un-London like!). stunsworth Posted October 21, 2009 Share #44 Posted October 21, 2009 If we start at the Photographers Gallery the Chandos would be ideal for lunch/refreshments (and being a Sammy Smiths pub their drinks prices are very un-London like!). Astonishing prices for central London. I always seem to end up in there when I visit <grin>.
spylaw4 Posted October 21, 2009 Share #45 Posted October 21, 2009 Now that the dust of Malta has settled for the moment, I can concentrate on meetings in London. Andy's idea seems great - I'm on for it!

lanetomlane Posted October 27, 2009 Share #51 Posted October 27, 2009 I'm in China at the moment but should be back. Are wives allowed? I think she behaved herself reasonably well in Malta so thought would bring her along if that's okay. ______________ Cheers, Tom Photography by Tom Lane

earleygallery Posted November 1, 2009 Share #60 Posted November 1, 2009 Just as well we didn't run with the idea of a meet today for the London-Brighton. I've been out this morning and got thoroughly soaked in no time, as did the cameras, so I had to retreat back for a dry off and coffee! If it eases up I'll pop out again, the cars will be coming through Croydon for a little while yet. Managed to shoot a roll with the 1903 Brownie, fortunately a few cars stopped along the way! Looking forward to the 21st, quite a gathering this time!
